If you continue to have issues please consider contacting your local support centre.With the release of this new OS last week some of you have found that your Xerox printers are not working.
It really does come down to the model of Xerox printer you have. Now if a driver is not available yet or you are getting an error such as filter Failed when trying to use the Mac 10.10 driver it is because of a change Apple made in the OS. ![]() Please be aware that we cannot recommend this process and have not tested the process but we wanted to make you aware of it as it has helped some users. SIP and the Xerox driver are reported to work fine together once the driver is installed. We hope this helps some of you and remember to continue to check for the updated driver on the support site for your machine. Workcentre 5230 Drivers Are AvailableWe will keep you updated as drivers are available and once the compatibility document is posted. Unfortunately, I just bought my second one less than a month ago, and now its a useless paper weight. If the workaround provided in this blog post did not help your situation please consider contacting your local support centre to see if there is anything else you can try. That is up to you. I do not have an ETA on the driver but it is your decision whether or not you want to try the workaround. Continue to check back on the Drivers and Downloads page for the WorkCentre 6015. Every time you have almost half of a year before Apple shows public beta and final release. All I can say is it takes time to put the drivers through testing. Also please see workarounds offered by other customers in this post. If it takes time to put the drivers through testing, then get the specs from Apple a little earlier and put more testers on it. Selling printers with warranties that wont work is very bad for business. Please pass this along to management as they need to take responsibility for their incompetence. Please take a look at the compatibility document for the most recent information. Also please review the comment on this post for options that have worked for other users. I am unable to scan to desk top now on my Macbook Pro and my assistants desktop. I managed to generate payroll, but have no idea how Im going to generate bills. Ive been on the phone with MAC and the company I bought my 3550 from because the last time this happened all Xerox did was blame Apple.
